Introduction: This document lists Chit-Chats.io Content Moderation Policy (“Policy”). This Policy explains when, why, and how Chit-Chats.io can moderate Content, and how Content that violates Chit-Chats.io Terms of Use is handled. If you are a Chit-Chats.io User, this Policy forms part of your legal agreement with Chit-Chats.io. Please carefully read this Policy in full.

Interpretation: Unless specifically defined in this Policy, the meanings given to words defined in the Terms of Use have the same meanings in this Policy.

When and why Chit-Chats.io moderates content: While Chit-Chats.io is a space for creators and users to express themselves; we moderate content to check if it complies with our Terms of Use.

What content we moderate: All Content that is posted on Chit-Chats.io, including text, audio, images, direct messages and videos are reviewed.

How we moderate content: Chit-Chats.io uses technology paired with human moderation that flags prohibited images, key words or variations of words to check whether the posted Content is allowed. Our trained moderators identify and take action to remove any Content which they believe violates our Terms of Use.

Consequences of posting improper Content: If a User posts Content that violates Chit-Chats.io Terms of Use, in addition to removing the content, we may:
Issue a warning,
Issue a final warning,
Deactivate the account,
Ban the account holder from the Chit-Chats.io platform.
If a User commits serious violations or repeatedly posts Content that violates Chit-Chats.io Terms of Use, we may suspend or terminate that account(s) and may prohibit that User from opening new accounts on Chit-Chats.io.

Reasons we may remove content: We most commonly remove Content for violations of our Terms of Use, for example, Content that features:

A creator we cannot verify as 18+.
Illegal Content or Products.
Content or Products that are abusive towards other people.
Content or Products that use others' intellectual property, unless you have express written permission to use it, or your use is protected by fair use.
Content or Products that infringe on another person’s rights, such as right of publicity, unless you have that person’s express written permission to use it.
Content or Products with real people engaging in sexual acts.
Benefits that involve raffles or prizes based on chance.
Creations or Products that are false or misleading
Creations or Products that violate any local, state, federal or international law.

Illegal Content: Chit-Chats.io will deactivate the Content and, where appropriate, will make a report to law enforcement.

Appeal of a Content Moderation decision: If you believe Chit-Chats.io incorrectly deactivated your Content or account, you can appeal the decision by submitting an email with subject title: Appealing Content Moderation Decision to contact@chit-chats.io with your user details.
